The essence of the plan for The superKuip is that the recognizable and classic elements of the original Kuip Football Stadium from 1937 remain but that the stadium is modernized and made future-proof.

The stadium will have the typical Rotterdam character: a raw architecture of steel and concrete. The superKuip guarantees the preservation of the distinctive atmosphere and magic of the Kuip.

The distinctive oval spectator stand-rings and the cover of the players tunnel from the Kuip will remain and dominate the design. The superKuip will accommodate 63,000 spectators and thus will be the largest stadium in the Netherlands.

There will be a standing pitches behind the goal that enhance the match experience for 12,000 of the truest Feyenoord supporters even further. The superKuip will be the only major stadium in the Netherlands with stand pitches, a fact to be proud of.
