Hill House in Melbourne
The Australia based Hill House is designed by Andrew Maynard Architects. The Hill House got a unique design including a cantilever unit on top of the first level of the home tucked inside an artificial hill. The upper unit takes into account the changing sun of the seasons and serves as a light visor for the home. The bottom level includes a massive revolving glass door that creates an easy transition between the interior of the home to the privacy of the back yard. The partially hidden exterior of the Hill House gives the illusion of a small home while the spacious interior proves otherwise. In total, the design is playful, attractive and serene, another great work from the Maynard crew of Melbourne.
