The 175 seat theatre, with its deep stage, generous wings, lighting bridges and full control room is supported by a large double height drama studio, dance studio, music studio with sound isolated practice rooms and extensive back of house areas.
The Centre supports training in different theatre and performance technologies through to the opening night extravaganza and the performance itself.
The building opens up to the north, suited for pre-performance gatherings and informal teaching.
The robust fabric of the building, including the consistent steel cladding on significant mass allows for the knocks that occur in a College environment, aids in achieving the complex acoustic requirements and the overall sustainability approach." Description of the architects.
