Bayuquan Baoli Theatre has 3 levels above the ground level. The main construction contains a large Dance Theatre which is specific for dancing and musical performaces with a capacity of 1600 people and a multi-functional theatre which can hold 800 people for drama play.
The dome of the main Dance Theatre was designed for both structural purpose and a special function. The steel-frame dome can be rotated, opened and closed to meet different performance requirements.
The interior U-shape plan adopts the form of roman traditional theatre and the space is separated into 3 levels vertically. Sight analysis was carried out to allocate the seats in the theatre.
To ensure best acoustic performance, the main source will be natural and each seat for audience takes up 7.7 m³(the total volume is 12300 m³).
The reverberation time could be adjusted due to different performance requirements. Description from the DSD Architects
The LED lighting design for Byuquan Theater's façade, at the core of the cultural square in Yingkou, is by Future Lighting Solutions and Yajiang Lighting.
“With an area of approximately 24,000 square meters, it was important to consider environmental conditions, and also to determine the appropriate level of luminance, lighting distribution and uniformity.
Delicate color temperature and beam control ensure even, glare-free lighting. In addition, the hues can be changed according to season and time of day, and allow for a variety of light shows to be presented during special holidays, further adding to the festive atmosphere.
Yajiang Lighting relied upon the exclusive online simulation tools available through Future Lighting Solutions, in choosing the most suitable and reliable emitters for this grand scale project, which includes more than 100 high power LED spotlights.
Technical expertise and binning support were additional pivotal factors in the company’s decision to work with Future Lighting Solutions on this and several other projects.”
